The Dixon 45' has been in production since 1996, and is proven and tested to fish in the rough seas off the eastern seaboard during the winter fishery. The Offshore Dixon 50' was designed in 2008 to have the ability to wear a variety of hats, meaning that it is much roomier in the engine room area, capable of a larger fish hole area, more depth, better fuel efficiency than the traditional full displacement hulls...and much more. This model starts at 50' x 21' and can be lengthened and widened to suit your needs. Fishermen now need to go further and stay longer to make a living. This demands a safer, more efficient vessel, which IS the Offshore Dixon 50'.
